BLUE COHOSH - Is found in rich soil of the broad-leafed forest. Its miniature, dusky, red flowers and blue stems respond to the first waves of spring before everything else has leafed out. The root knows its greatest service as a woman's friend to nourish, regulate and repair the reproductive system. Hence, cramping, frequency of cycle, infections, and cleansing discharges are all part of its job. During the last two weeks of pregnancy, it is used for easy delivery. In the case where the young woman's menstrual cycle has been suppressed, use Blue Cohosh. "Epilepsy" and seizures have also responded to this herb to restore proper brain function. Nor can we overlook its application for bronchial irritation and sore joints for both men and women. Consider Blue Cohosh to rid the body of "venereal taint" which may have been passed on from one generation to another or contracted more recently. When a virus or germ of a venereal nature contaminates the body cells and is not completely eradicated, it may become a part of the genetic material and masquerade as many kinds of baffling and seemingly unrelated disorders. It is here Blue Cohosh may be relied upon to give relief by working on the actual cause in such baffling cases.* DOSE:40 drops per day, starting 10 days before and during menstruation. In severe cases, 40 to 80 drops three times per day after meals. To start the cycle where it has been suppressed, the same is recommended. For seizures or sore joints, 40 drops three times per day after meals.
