Lavandin (Lavandin Grosso) Essential Oil
Lavandin Grosso oil has a fresh, floral, and herbal aroma with more camphor-like notes compared to regular Lavender oil. This is a beautiful oil and excellent product that has been imported directly from France where it was grown and distilled. This cost-effective substitute for Lavender is often used in personal care, candles, soaps, and natural cleaning products.

As suggested by its botanical name, Lavandula hybrida, Lavandin is a hybrid plant developed by crossing true Lavender with Spike Lavender or Aspic (Lavandula latifolia). It has been used to sterilize the animal cages in veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout Europe.
Lavandin is antibacterial, antifungal, and a strong antiseptic. (See Lavender for related properties.) Similar in aroma to the true Lavender, my customers love to use it in their homemade cleaning products. They love the lower price with the lavender smell.
Lavandin is best used as an antiseptic. Its greater penetrating qualities make it well suited to help with respiratory, circulatory, and muscular conditions.
Diffuse Lavandin or apply topically (dilute 1:1 with carrier oil before applying topically).
The fragrant influence of this oil has similar calming effects as Lavender but is slightly harsher.
Caution: If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. DO NOT use for burns.
